What is Dietitian Health Hub (DHH)

Dietitian Health Hub (DHH) was established in 2020 and provides equitable access to Dietetic Health services Australia wide. Our policies and plans set the delivery of dietetic services, consultations in-home, telehealth and in clinic with Accredited Practicing Dietitians (APD’s). While using the Dietitian Health Hub platform, you will be required to submit personal information to register on the platform and to book Dietetic services.

How DHH Collect Your Personal Information

There is various ways to collect your information. This will include when you interact with Dietitian Health Hub in person, when you visit our website and when we provide our services to you. Should we receive personal information from third parties, we will keep your information protected.

Personal Information DHH May Collect:

  • For users: name, postal address, email address, phone number, NDIS participant number, date of birth, and location.
  • For APD’s: name, postal address, email address, phone number, APD registration number, Medicare Provider number, ABN number, driver’s licence or passport number, date of birth, credit or debit card information.
  • Personal information may also be collected.
  • IP address logged when you visit the Dietitian Health Hub website. Your IP information allows us to understand how you use our site and to enable us to make changes to our site in order to improve your experience.

Information regarding your computer or your connection to our website (your browser type, operating system) is never recorded by Dietitian Health Hub.

How DHH Use Your Personal Information

Dietitian Health Hub may use the personal information you provide once you register to provide you with updates and services.   We may also send you information about our new services and products and other opportunities available for you. We may use your information to improve the content and presentation of our website. We may contact you to conduct research for improving our business. This information is for internal purposes.   • Medicare, Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), Dietitians Australia (DA) and private health funds for funding and related purposes.
  • Commonwealth, State and Territory agencies, which receive or investigate healthcare complaints.
  • If you have given permission by opting in to receive advertising and marketing material, we will disclose your email address or physical address to a third party who may contact you for advertising or marketing purposes.

Disclosure

Dietitian Health Hub will advise you of the organisations to which we may normally disclose your personal data, and we will provide you with contact information in the event you would like access to your personal data we hold about you or need to update your personal data or preferences.

Account Users

Dietitian Health Hub welcomes users to set up personal accounts to interact with APD’s or purchase from our online category. At any time you have the freedom to edit personal information. You may also at any time request to have your account removed or cancel your subscription in your My Hub portal. Other information collected through activities on the website, can only be archived. This archived information will not able to be deleted from Dietitian Health Hub records. Unless Dietitian Health Hub is required to respond to court orders, subpoenas or comply with applicable laws. Dietitian Health Hub will use its best efforts to ensure that unauthorised third parties do not access your user information.

Members or account holders of the Dietitian Health Hub platform are responsible for ensuring that all personal information provided is always updated, to receive services from Dietitian Health Hub.

You always have the right to feel safe and confident with the service of your dietitian. If you become unhappy or concerned with your treatment speak with the dietitian and explain your concerns. Most issues can be dealt with by communication to avoid any misunderstanding.

If you are unsatisfied with the direct approach or the matter is serious and has escalated, you should make a formal complaint and email it to credentialing@dietitiansaustralia.org.au. Your subscription can be cancelled at any time through the My Hub portal before the new month/year of payment. You can opt to receive our newsletters, promotional offers and other information from our partners and affiliates. You can unsubscribe from external advertising and marketing material by clicking on the unsubscribe link and following the prompts.

Dietitian Health Hub, partners and affiliates websites will update and remove your email from receiving newsletters, promotional offers and other information. If you are receiving sms notification text, you can opt out by replying STOP.
